Our People

Shore Hi-Fi owner John Vivian (left) has spent more than 20 years helping people put together great sounding hi-fi systems. Born and raised in Takapuna, John founded Shore Hi-Fi in 1994. John’s areas of expertise include Naim, vinyl playback and Loewe televisions.

Manager Matt Rogers (right) has 10 years experience with sound and vision retailing throughout the North Island, with Auckland being home since 2001. Matt’s areas of expertise include home theatre, hi-fi systems and Loewe televisions.

Patrice Donaldson (centre) handles accounts and customer service.

Mr Chris Murphy, importer of Naim Audio, Rega Products & Totem Loudspeakers. Chris and John have been in partnership since Shore Hi-Fi's inception.

How to Find Us

Shore Hi-Fi is based in Byron Avenue, at the south end of Takapuna's shopping centre. We're easy to find and have free customer parking behind the shop.

Our Hours

Shore Hi-Fi is open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday. During weekdays we are open from 9am to 5.30pm. On Saturday our hours are from 9.30am to 3.30pm. We are closed Sunday.

We're happy to meet your needs outside of these hours, by arrangement.
